What if Something Goes Wrong with your Move?
Helping You Resolve Complaints With Ease
Encountering issues during a removal can be stressful. However, rest assured that we have procedures in place to help you navigate through such situations. Here’s what you can do if something goes wrong:
Step 1: Contact Your Removals Company
The first step is to contact your removals company directly. Raise your complaint with them and provide as much detail as possible about the issue. This could include pictures, videos, or any other form of evidence that supports your claim.
Step 2: Let Us Know
If your removals company does not resolve the issue to your satisfaction, do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Our role is to ensure that all our members adhere to high standards of service. When you inform us of your situation, we will liaise with the removals company on your behalf to seek a resolution.
Step 3: Further Action
In the event that the complaint still cannot be resolved despite our mediation, we will take further action depending on the company’s history and the nature of the complaint. This might involve issuing a warning to the company or in more serious cases we may consider revoking their membership.
While we strive to ensure that all our members maintain high standards of service, it’s essential to remember that each company operates independently. However, we take customer complaints seriously and will do our utmost to ensure a fair resolution.
Remember, our goal at Approved Movers is to create an environment where customers and companies can operate with trust and security. If you are ever unsatisfied with the service provided by one of our members, don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here to help.
In order to become a member of Approved Movers, each Removal or Storage company is required to provide us with evidence of up to date Public Liability and Goods in Transit insurance. Only once these have been vetted do we add a new member to our lists. There is also an expectation for service reliability and the maintenance of suitable vehicle conditions. Finally, the member agrees to uphold our code of conduct, ensuring all customers are treated fairly and that any complaints are addressed.
In the unlikely event that a problem arises with your removals, your first point of call should be the removals company you have contracted with. Most disputes, such as property damage or an unexpected delay in their arrival, can be resolved amicably with the management team of your chosen company. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, contact us and we will escalate the issue, with the expectations for a rapid resolution. If the member refuses to resolve a reasonable complaint, they risk removal from our listing, and the consequences of such.
